LGBTQIA+ Affirming Therapy
LGBTQIA+ affirming therapy offers space to explore identity, relationships, and belonging with a therapist who understands from the inside. Together, we’ll make room for the hard parts and celebrate the full spectrum of who you are.
Therapy that gets you
Whether you’re out and proud, questioning your identity, or somewhere in between, therapy offers a space to process the many layers of what it means to live authentically.
For LGBTQIA+ folks, therapy can feel different. There’s an unspoken knowing: an understanding that comes from shared experience and a mutual recognition of what it means to move through the world as queer.
As a queer therapist, I value that connection deeply. It creates space for honesty, humor, and relief, knowing you don’t have to explain every part of yourself to be understood.
Reclaiming Your Sense of Self
Many LGBTQIA+ clients come to therapy carrying the weight of otherness, rejection, or chronic self-doubt. These experiences often show up as anxiety, depression, or relationship strain, not because of who we are, but because of the environments we’ve had to exist in.
My approach focuses on reclaiming your sense of self: exploring identity, setting boundaries, unlearning internalized messages, and building relationships that feel safe and affirming.
And while we honor the hard parts, we also celebrate what makes our community extraordinary: the creativity, resilience, love, and humor that have always been sources of strength. My goal is to help you reconnect with those parts of yourself, to feel grounded, proud, and at peace in who you are.
Helpful Resources
If you’re exploring identity or looking for support, here are some helpful LGBTQIA+ resources and local services:
• GLAAD – Glossary of LGBTQ Terms
• National LGBTQIA+ Health Education Center (Spanish Available)
• Human Rights Campaign – Resources
• Resource Center Dallas – Adult Empowerment Services
Hopefully, these links offer a starting point. The queer spectrum is wide — but the experiences within it are even wider.

Because being yourself shouldn’t require a translation.
So how do I know which one I am? And even if I do, what am I supposed to do with that information?! These questions can feel confusing, liberating, or both — and they’re exactly the kinds of things we can unpack in therapy.
